The pictures above are from a hanging basket seminar at Garlands Nursery in Corvallis, Oregon. The two individuals demonstrating how to prepare hanging baskets are Kate Hemlock, and assistant Josefa Martinez. Kate has been working at Garlands Nursery for seven years, and majored in Horticulture. Although she enjoyed showing everyone tips for planting hanging baskets, she was faced with the challenge of doing it one-handed because of her broken hand. 4/30/2011
