Mexico Feature Photo(s)

In mid April I took a trip to Mazatlan, Mexico. I thought it would be a good idea to bring my camera along and see what pictures I could take for photojournalism. The first picture shows one of the many salesmen that roam the beach the entire day. They sell many things such as sunglasses, jewelry, hats, and countless other items. The second picture was taken at Stone Island, one of my favorite places in Mazatlan. I enjoy it because it is a great hidden location when wanting to get away from all of the tourism. The downside is that recently this year they began to build resorts on the island. This was very saddening when I saw what was happening to such a great secret. The photo was taken right outside of a great restaurant called "Lety's". They provide delicious food at a dirt cheap price! I have traveled to Mexico so many times that the owner of Lety's now recognizes my family. We see a mariachi band walking down the beach, who play for tips. The last picture was taken at the docks that depart to Stone Island. I was able to capture an old man fileting fish from the bay, caught earlier that day. there are also many shops alongside the dock, which are enjoyable to browse before leaving to Stone Island. 5/14/2011
